Traveling to exotic locations can be a rewarding experience.\u00a0 It can also be quite painful. \u00a0In performing a WMQ for z\/OS health checks (aka looking at SMF data until eyes are far too bloodshot) I have had the opportunity to go many lovely places. \u00a0I would never have gone to Brazil, Malaysia, or Arkansas if I\u2019d not been doing this.
\n<\/p>\n

On this particular trip, I had the opportunity to go to Rio de Janeiro.\u00a0 How just the word Rio conjures up exotic beaches and beautiful people in many minds! \u00a0Tall and tan and young and lovely\u2026..It did in mine. \u00a0It certainly did in mine at the JW Marriott<\/a> on Copacabana beach.<\/p>\n

That is a beautiful hotel, even though my room only had a view of the atrium, it did not matter. \u00a0There was an air of loveliness throughout.\u00a0 Beach views along the front, magnificent breakfast buffet, excellent restaurants and a very helpful staff.<\/p>\n

But\u2026but\u2026they ran out of the corporate rate rooms today. \u00a0So I had to move.\u00a0 I had hopes.\u00a0 I hoped that I would be moving to a hotel unlike the Mercure in Brasilia. \u00a0And in some respects it is.<\/p>\n

It smells like mold.\u00a0 I can hear someone taking a shower \u2013 above me? \u00a0Below me?\u00a0 It sounds like it is IN my room.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
